“In the time that I interned for David I learned what it was like to be a working illustrator, including the creative process, production process, and all the fun rewards that come after. David was a fantastic person to work with, and I am grateful for the time we spent together in the studio and most importantly the support and friendship we have now.”
-Colleen, UMass ‘08
“Working with David was a wonderful experience. He always had interesting projects for me to work on, and showed genuine interest in my ideas. He also answered all of my many questions about the picture book industry and went out of his way to include me by inviting me to events he attended. I would highly recommend interning with David to aspiring authors and illustrators and those interested in other creative, independent pursuits.”
-Aly, Hampshire College ‘10
